Digital Marketing Strategy
A marketing strategy that tells you which channels, which budget and which KPIs to chase in the next 90 days — not a vision document that lives in Google Drive.
Most strategy decks are theatre. Beautifully designed, full of frameworks and competitor matrices, and almost completely disconnected from the actual marketing decisions a business owner faces on Monday morning: should I spend $3,000 on Google Ads or SEO? Should I hire a social media manager or keep outsourcing? Is my cost-per-lead going up because the market has changed or because the campaigns need fixing? Our marketing strategy is a 90-day operational roadmap built around your actual margins, your actual sales cycle and your actual capacity to execute. It answers those questions in plain English. We run a half-day workshop with you — not a discovery call, an actual working session with your P&L, your customer data and your current marketing spend on the table. Customer and competitor research is done before the workshop. The output is a channel mix recommendation with budget allocations, a prioritised 90-day action plan and a KPI scorecard tied to revenue. For businesses between $300k and $5m in revenue, founder-led on every engagement. Read our digital marketing agency guide for what good digital strategy looks like in practice.
What's Included in Marketing Strategy
- Half-day strategy workshop — 3–4 hours with you (and relevant team members) working through your customer segments, competitive position, current channel performance and growth objectives
- Customer and competitor research — completed before the workshop. Your top 3 competitors' channel mix, messaging and positioning reviewed. Customer interview or survey data used where available
- Channel mix recommendation — which channels to invest in, in which order, with what budget, and what you should stop doing
- 90-day operational roadmap — week-by-week priorities for the first 90 days. Specific enough to be a project plan, not just a list of marketing platitudes
- KPI scorecard — 5–8 measurable KPIs tied to revenue: cost-per-lead, lead-to-sale conversion rate, channel ROAS, email revenue, organic traffic growth
- Quarterly review — 90 days after delivery, we review results against the roadmap and update the strategy for the next quarter
Why DSIGNS for Marketing Strategy?
- 01Operational, not theoretical — the output is a week-by-week action plan you can hand to a team member or an agency to execute. Not a deck full of frameworks and general advice
- 02Built for $300k–$5m businesses — we understand the resource constraints of this size business. The strategy recommends what you can actually execute with your team and budget, not what a Fortune 500 would do
- 03Founder-led on every project — a senior DSIGNS strategist runs every marketing strategy engagement. Not scoped by a senior and delivered by a junior

Still got questions? .
How long does the strategy engagement take? +
The half-day workshop is typically a 3–4 hour session held at our Parramatta studio or via Zoom. Pre-workshop research takes 1 week. The strategy document and roadmap are delivered within 5 business days of the workshop. Total elapsed time from booking to delivery: approximately 2 weeks.
Can you implement the strategy after delivering it? +
Yes — most strategy clients continue with DSIGNS for implementation across Google Ads, SEO, email marketing or other channels recommended in the roadmap. The strategy cost is credited against month-one implementation fees if you proceed within 60 days.
What if I already have agencies running some of my channels? +
The strategy works regardless of who's executing. We'll review your current agency's performance data, assess whether the channel mix is right, and give you an honest view of what's working and what isn't. The roadmap tells you what to keep, what to fix and what to start — you decide who implements it.
